
World Languages
The first three years at M.A.S.T., students are required to take a world language; seniors take world language as an elective. Entering freshman who plan on continuing the study of a world language taken in middle school take placements tests to determine which level of world language class is most appropriate for them. Latin, French and Spanish classes are offered at M.A.S.T.
The Latin classes are taught by Mr. Joseph Grabler. Students who excel in their study of Latin may be eligible to join the Latin Honor Society, of which Mr. Grabler is advisor. Mr. Grabler also advises the Latin Club.
French classes are taught by Ms. Susan Lepis, fondly known to all as "Mlle." Students who excel in their study of French msy be eligible to join the French Honor Society, of which Ms. Lepis is the advisor. Ms. Lepis also advises the French Club, an organization which promotes the study of French culture.
Mr. Francis Haddad and Ms. Teresa Mancini (known affectionately on campus as Señor and Señorita respectively) teach the Spanish Classes. Students who excel in their study of Spanish may be eligible to join the Spanish Honor Society. The Spanish Club promotes the study of Spanish and Latino cultures.
