All freshmen take Technology I: Problem-Solving and Design with Ms. Wendy Green.
All sophomores take Cumputer Aided Design (CAD) with Mr. David Alfonse, learning to become proficient at using the AutoDesk programs "AutoCAD" and "Architectural Desktop" for use in student projects.
All juniors take Systems Engineering I with Mr. John Cuttrell. During their junior year, in addition to completing numerous projects, students going on to Systems Engineering II will submit proposals for the project that will be the basis of their senior year work. Students are expected to do preliminary work on their projects the summer between junior and senior year.
For their senior year Systems Engineering II Projects, students are required to find mentors and work with them throughout the course of the project.
Systems Engineering II is a senior elective. Classes are taught by teams of teachers: in 2008-2009, Mr. Alfonse and Ms. McDinald are teaching one Systems Engineering II section, and Mr. Cuttrell and Ms. Green are teaching the other.
