Students at M.A.S.T. take a one credit health course each of their four years at M.A.S.T.; this course does not appear on the students' schedules as such, but time for the course is scheduled during the Naval Science classes.
The health curriculum is taught by Mrs. Diane Loughrey, who also serves as the school's nurse. When appropriate, Mrs. Loughrey invites health professionals and others into her classroom to address the students.
Mrs. Loughrey is a certified teacher, as well as being a registered nurse and a licensed nurse practitioner. Contact Mrs. Loughrey with concerns about the health curriculum or about health issues your child ight have that would affect his/her school experience.
