Paul J. Christopher, Ed.D., Principal

Dr. Paul J. Christopher is President of the Monmouth County Vocational School District Principals' and Supervisors Association and the President of the Monmouth /Ocean County Secondary Principals Association, of which he served as President for seventeen years. He is also a member of the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (NJPSA), NJPSA Council Member, National Association of Secondary School Principals(NASSP), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the Principals Center at Princeton, N.J., and as an avocation, a member of the International Association Of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO). Dr. Christopher serves on the West Long Branch Board of Education as vice president. He has experience as a head basketball, baseball coach, secondary classroom teacher and administrator as well as an elementary school administrator K-8.

Dr. Christopher has attended the Harvard Principal's Center, Harvard University twice, most recently as the Recipient of the Harvard Principals' Scholars Program Award. He has received the Golden Lamp Award from the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association for Excellence in Educational Leadership and was named Educator of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers of Central New Jersey. Additionally, Dr. Christopher has been named New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association(NJPSA) NASSP/MET LIFE Principal New Jersey Principal of the Year. Dr. Christopher has also been recognized as one of three "Principals of the Year" (New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association): Rewarding Visionary Leadership. Dr. Christopher was elected to the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association Board of Directors. He also serves on the West Long Branch School District Board of Education as Vice President.

Dr. Christopher has a BS degree from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA., an MS in Education from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ, and an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University,Fla. He enjoys all sports, traveling, reading, and being a basketball referee.
